Professional Organization Scholarship

The Higher Education Opportunity Program Professional Organization is happy to offer seven $500 scholarships to eligible HEOP students in preparation for their post-graduate journeys.

To be eligible to apply, students must be:

Currently enrolled at a HEOPPO dues paying institution,
Be considered seniors,
Hold a GPA of 2.7 or above,
Involved in their communities (on or off campus), and
Engaged in the HEOP activities during the course of their time on campus.

Purpose

We know that preparing for post-graduation life is hard. The HEOP Professional Organization wishes to support students who proudly represent HEOP and may need additional financial support to get to the next step of their lives. The additional support could be used for travel to interviews, assistance with graduate school exams or application fees, help with upcoming housing costs, or other related items.

Application Process

There are a few steps to apply for the HEOPPO Scholarship:

Complete the application form (see link below)
Provide proof of enrollment at your college/university by uploading a copy of your course schedule and transcript
Request a letter of recommendation from OP Professional Staff (see link below)

Request that the Director of your HEOP Program complete the Director’s acknowledgment form (see link below)

Due Date

All applications are due by Monday, April 1st 2024
